  • IBS is related to mast cells.
  • IBS increases colorectal adenoma and carcinoma.
  • Many mast cells are in the colorectal adenoma.
  • Suppressing the activity of mast cells decreases colorectal adenoma.
  • There is no significant relationship between allergy and colon.
  • Low-FODMAP diet improves IBS symptoms.
  • Low FODMAP reduces mast cells.
  • In Japan, colorectal cancer is increasing with the increase of High-FODMAP foods.

 

Theoretical hypothesis

Low-FODMAP diet might prevent colorectal adenoma and carcinoma.
