SIBO and IBS:  A Missing Link.

Small intestinal bacterial overgrowth (SIBO) is involved in the pathogenesis of irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). 

However, the mechanisms involved are not yet fully understood.

Even if water volume increases in the small intestine, water is absorbed in the large intestine. Is the reason for diarrhea only water volume of small inesine?

Why is prolonged colonic transit time by increased gas of the small intestine?
