Five blue-lines are the value of the hydrogen of lactulose breath test in the five papers.
All of these datas are IBS patients.

They are distributed in a very wide range.

Yellow line is volume the water content of the small intestine measured at MRI after lactulose drinking. If the decrease of hydrogen in the breath before the liquid to be fermented is increased in the small intestine, it may be the human has a feedback action which does not increase the hydrogen in the blood. Increased due to the rise is H2CO3 of hydrogen ion concentration, and changed to H2O and CO2, hydrogen in the breath is reduced, CO2 is excreted.

Whether this action is happening in the fermentation of the intestinal tract?

Breath test may be inaccurate by feedback. However, the test results indicate that the hydrogen gas is increased in the body until after 2-4 hours after lactulose drinking.

Most important to direct the symptoms is the time period in the range of green.

In this time zone, a full-fledged fermentation occurs in the intestinal tract.

In the time zone of this green, what's going on?

It may be elucidate the pathogenesis of IBS.
