Intestinal flora of the human is produced per a day approximately 7.5 liters of gas in large intestine.

The intestinal flora includes lactic acid bacteria.

Approximately 30 percent of people have methane-producing bacteria.

Also, people have other gas-producing bacteria.

When a person of IBS eat high-FODMAP diet,

gas is produced by gas-producing bacteria.

In addition, lactic acid bacteria also produces gas by fermentation.

If the people of IBS drank prebiotics, they suffer from the symptoms of gas by fermented lactic acid bacteria.

Lactic acid bacteria of fecal become relatively large.

Under the condition that have a low FODMAP diet, probiotics by non-fermentable of lactic acid bacteria may be effective in IBS.

In continuous of this condition, aerogenes may be relatively reduced.

Low FODMAP diet suppresses the production of gas.

Low FODMAP diet is not food to increase the lactic acid bacteria. Therefore, there is a possibility that lactic acid bacteria are relatively reduced.

From the above, the development of lactic acid bacteria without fermentaion is desired.
